Why do insults stick more than praise?
Why do we often remember insults more vividly than compliments? I recently got praised at work but can still replay a snide remark from years ago with perfect clarity. Some researchers say negative memories stick because they once signaled threats, yet our social lives today aren't about physical survival. Could we train ourselves to weigh positive feedback as heavily?
