When I was in school, history class focused almost entirely on colonial powers and their achievements, barely mentioning the resistance movements that shaped so many nations. Now that I read more independent sources, I realize whole stories are missing — like how the Mau Mau uprising in Kenya or the Haitian Revolution influenced global politics. Could our understanding of history be fundamentally incomplete if we only learn from the colonizer's perspective, and does that even allow for a proper yes/no debate?
