Vietnamese cinema has finally found its voice with hits like 'The House of No Man' and 'Taste', yet we still import far more films than we export. Local stories are being told with more nuance, but are we doing enough to support them on the global stage? I think the recent successes might just be a fluke unless we build stronger distribution networks and film education programs. Should we focus resources on nurturing local talent or on creating better market access for our films?
