Is Vietnam's motorcycle dependency actually a strength?
Vietnam's motorcycle dependency is often cited as a problem to solve, but I think it's actually a strength that planners overlook. With over 60 million motorbikes on the roads, they offer unmatched door-to-door flexibility that buses and even cars can't match in narrow alleys. The real issue isn't the bikes themselves but the lack of dedicated lanes and enforcement of traffic rules. So, I believe we should invest in motorcycle infrastructure instead of pushing everyone toward public transit.
