VAR was supposed to make football fairer, but after watching my team lose to a marginal offside call that took four minutes to review, I'm convinced it's ruining the spontaneity and flow of the game. The technology still can't interpret intent or clear up the most subjective decisions, like handballs or penalties, so it just shifts the controversy rather than eliminating it. Maybe the real solution is to limit VAR to clear and obvious errors only, giving the referee more authority on the pitch. But then again, without VAR we'd still have the ghost goals and blatant missed calls that sparked its introduction in the first place. Should we accept slower, more accurate officiating, or is the excitement of the game worth more than perfect justice?
