Is short-form video harming our ability to think deeply?
The rise of short-form video on social media has made it harder for people to focus on longer written content. Scroll through any feed and you see endless 30-second clips, so why would anyone read a 2,000-word essay? I've noticed my own attention span shrinking since I started using TikTok and Reels. But some argue that video is just a different medium, not a worse one. Still, I wonder if this shift is actually harming our ability to think deeply. Is it time to cut back?
