Should airlines be held accountable for their environmental impact?
The airline industry thrives on offering cheap fares, but at what cost to the planet? Last year, flights accounted for about 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, and that number is rising. However, flying connects people and drives economies in ways few other modes can match. I'm torn because I love traveling, but I also worry about my carbon footprint. Do you think airlines should be held accountable for their environmental impact, or is it up to individuals to fly less?
