Is advertising harmless entertainment or subtle control?
Super Bowl commercials cost $7 million for 30 seconds, but I'd argue the real price is what they do to our attention spans and values. We laugh at the funny ones, yet forget they're engineering desire for things we never needed — like that celebrity-endorsed crypto app that crashed a week later. Is advertising just harmless entertainment, or is it a subtle form of control we've willingly invited into our heads?
