Street art is real art that deserves legal walls, not just tolerated graffiti. In my city, the underpass murals get more Instagram tags than the museum's modern wing, and they've cut tagging on nearby storefronts. Sure, some pieces are ugly, but so are half the sculptures in public parks. Why do cities pay for bland statues yet fine artists for painting the same concrete?
