Does Stoicism encourage passivity or true wisdom?
Stoicism teaches us to focus only on what we control, yet most of our daily stress comes from obsessing over outcomes we can't influence. I tried applying this for a month during a chaotic work project, and while it reduced my anxiety, it also made me less proactive in fixing real problems. Is radical acceptance of external events actually a form of wisdom, or just a comfortable excuse for passivity?
