Standardized testing has become the backbone of school accountability, but I think we've let it dictate too much of what happens in the classroom. When I see teachers forced to drill multiple-choice questions instead of fostering curiosity, I wonder if we're measuring what truly matters. The pressure to hit proficiency targets often squeezes out deep learning and critical thinking. Are we really serving students by narrowing the curriculum to what's easily testable?
