Soft skills like communication and teamwork are often listed as essential on job postings, but I've seen technical experts get promoted while people with great people skills stay stuck. Maybe in practice, employers value hard skills more because they're easier to measure and directly impact the bottom line. Yet when projects fail, it's usually due to miscommunication, not lack of technical ability. So should we really prioritize soft skills in hiring and training, or is that just corporate lip service?
