Soft skills get talked up in every job posting, but I've seen technical hires fail because they couldn't communicate or handle conflict. In my last team, the most productive colleague wasn't the best coder—he was the one who could explain complex bugs to non-technical stakeholders. Yet universities and bootcamps still pour almost all their effort into hard skills, leaving graduates to learn teamwork and empathy on the fly. Should formal education treat soft skills as equally important as technical ability, even if it means cutting some course content?
