Are soft skills overvalued in the workplace?
Soft skills are constantly praised as the key to career success, but I've seen too many workplaces where charismatic talkers get promoted while quiet problem-solvers stay stuck. I've been in meetings where the person with the best presentation skills wins the argument, even when their solution was objectively worse. Is it really about ability, or just about how well you perform in front of others? Maybe we're overvaluing the wrong things.
