Are soft skills more valuable than technical ability?
Soft skills are always listed in job postings, but are they really more valuable than technical ability? In my last role, we hired a developer with a stellar GitHub portfolio who clashed with the team so badly that two seniors quit within six months. Meanwhile, a mediocre coder who communicated well kept projects moving. This makes me think that emotional intelligence and collaboration often outweigh raw expertise. Yet I've also seen teams where charming but incompetent people cause silent disasters — so maybe it's not about one over the other, but about the context.
