Smartphone cameras have gotten so good that I barely touch my DSLR anymore, but I still think dedicated photography gear produces noticeably better results in low light and with fast-moving subjects. Is the convenience and computational magic of a phone enough to replace a standalone camera for serious hobbyists and even some pros? I've seen wedding photographers ditch their heavy kits for iPhones, yet most still keep a mirrorless body for the critical shots. The real question is whether the gap in image quality and creative control is shrinking fast enough to make dedicated cameras obsolete for people who aren't making a living from photography.
