Smartphone cameras have gotten so good that I barely touch my DSLR anymore, but I still think dedicated photography gear is worth the cost for anyone serious about the craft. The computational processing in phones is impressive, yet it can't replicate the shallow depth of field or dynamic range you get from a full-frame sensor and good glass. Is the convenience of always having a camera in your pocket enough to justify leaving the dedicated camera behind?
