Small farms are struggling to survive while giant agribusinesses dominate, and I think governments should prioritize protecting the former over the latter. In my region, dairy farmers receive less than half the retail price of milk, yet subsidies overwhelmingly go to large operations that don't need help. Isn't it time we question whether cheap food is worth the cost of losing rural livelihoods and biodiversity? If we don't act, we'll end up with a handful of corporations controlling our entire food chain, which seems risky for both consumers and the environment.
