Does social media inform us or trap us in echo chambers?
Scrolling through my feed last night, I noticed how many friends share news headlines without reading the article—just the headline and a strong opinion. Social media algorithms seem to reward this instant reaction over thoughtful discussion, which makes me question if these platforms were ever truly designed for meaningful debate. Given how much time we spend on them daily, do you think social media has actually made people more informed and open to other viewpoints, or has it just polarized us into echo chambers?
