Renewable energy is great in theory, but I've worked in the power grid for a decade and I'm skeptical about going 100% solar and wind. When the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow, we still need to keep the lights on. Natural gas as a bridge fuel seems more practical than cutting it off too soon.
