Remote work is often praised for flexibility, but I think it's quietly destroying company culture. I've managed a team of 12 for three years, and since we went fully remote, collaboration has dropped to Slack messages that get lost in threads. Innovation suffers when you can't overhear a conversation or grab someone for a quick whiteboard session. Sure, productivity metrics look fine, but those numbers don't capture the trust and spontaneity that built our best projects. Is the trade-off really worth it?
