Remote work is often celebrated as a win-win, but I've seen small-town economies suffer when local shops lose daily customers. Coffee shops and lunch spots near offices are closing down here, and property values are stagnating. If we push full remote work without considering these ripple effects, are we really making progress? I think the trade-off between flexibility and community vitality deserves more scrutiny than it gets.
