Pride parades have become massive corporate-sponsored events, but I'm starting to wonder if they still serve the LGBTQ+ community or just the brands that profit from rainbow logos. Last June, I watched a float sponsored by a bank that donates to anti-LGBTQ+ politicians, and nobody seemed to care. Visibility was supposed to lead to acceptance, but now it feels like we've traded radical inclusion for a shopping festival. Doesn't the real fight for LGBTQ+ rights happen in courtrooms and voting booths, not on a route lined with ads?
