Do gender quotas in leadership do more harm than good?
Positive discrimination policies like gender quotas on boards aim to correct historical imbalances, but they can also spark backlash and questions about merit. I've seen competent women get labeled as 'diversity hires' even when they were qualified, which undermines their credibility. Are quotas the best way to achieve gender equality in leadership, or do they create more problems than they solve? Some argue that focus on merit alone perpetuates bias because social networks favor men. Maybe we need to fix the pipeline earlier, but progress takes time. What do you think?
