Should high school physics prioritize concepts over math?
Physics is beautiful in theory, but I've noticed most people only appreciate it when we skip the math and just show the phenomenon. My nephew lit up when I explained why a ceiling fan doesn't fly away using Newton's third law—no equations, just a hand gesture. Yet, I can't help feeling that without the rigor of problem-solving, we're just giving them magic tricks instead of understanding. Should high school physics focus more on conceptual understanding and real-world applications rather than mathematical derivations?
