Should schools completely ban phones?
Phone bans in schools are justified because they improve focus, but we've all seen the chaos when you try to enforce it. My niece's school banned phones last year, and test scores went up slightly—though teachers admit they spend more time policing smartwatches. The real question is whether we're solving distraction or just moving it around. Still, I think the ban is worth it, especially for younger kids who can't self-regulate yet. What do you do when the emergency argument keeps coming up? Would you support a total ban or a compromise?
