Is delaying smartphones the best way to protect kids' focus?
Parents today are too quick to give their kids a smartphone, and it's hurting their ability to focus and socialize. I've seen my own nephew glued to TikTok at dinner, barely talking to us. But I also know some parents who set strict limits and their kids seem fine—so maybe the problem isn't the phone itself but how we manage it. Is banning or delaying smartphones really the answer, or are we just avoiding our responsibility to teach digital self-control?
