Organic food is worth the higher price, but only for certain items. I've read studies showing that strawberries and spinach carry much higher pesticide residues, so I always buy those organic. For thick-skinned produce like bananas and avocados, though, I go conventional and save money. The problem is that many people treat organic as an all-or-nothing label, and the marketing doesn't help. Is it really about nutrition, or are we paying for peace of mind?
