Can online learning really replace the classroom experience?
Online learning platforms like Coursera and edX have made university-level education accessible to anyone with an internet connection, but I question whether they actually deliver the same depth of understanding as traditional classrooms. I've completed five MOOCs over the last two years, and while the content was solid, I found myself missing the immediate feedback from a professor and the spontaneous debates with classmates. The completion rates for most MOOCs hover around 10-15%, which suggests that even motivated learners struggle to stay engaged without external structure. So, can online learning truly replace the classroom experience, or is it just a convenient supplement?
