Do low MOOC completion rates mean self-paced education fails?
Online learning platforms like Coursera and edX have made university-level courses accessible to anyone with an internet connection, but I've noticed that completion rates for MOOCs hover around 5-10%. Does that low number mean self-paced education fails for most people, or is it just that the ones who finish get the real value? I've taken three MOOCs myself and only finished one, yet that one changed how I approach my job.
