Online learning platforms have exploded in popularity, but I've noticed that completion rates remain dismally low — often under 10% for MOOCs. I've taken several courses myself and abandoned most of them, not because the content was bad, but because the isolation and lack of accountability killed my motivation. Face-to-face classes create a social contract that pushes you to show up and engage, something a discussion forum can't replicate. So my question is: can online learning genuinely replace the classroom experience, or is it just a convenient supplement?
