Are online classes better than traditional classrooms?
Online learning platforms have exploded in popularity, but are they actually better for students than traditional classrooms? I've tutored both in-person and via Zoom for three years, and while the flexibility is real, my students online seem to struggle more with staying focused and asking for help. The data is mixed too—some studies show similar test scores, but engagement and completion rates often drop in fully remote settings. Is the convenience worth the potential loss of social learning and immediate feedback, or are we just chasing efficiency at the cost of depth?
