Nuclear power often gets dismissed due to waste and accident fears, but I've been looking at the actual numbers and it's the only low-carbon source that can reliably meet baseload demand without depending on weather. France gets about 70% of its electricity from nuclear, and their emissions are among the lowest in Europe. Yes, there are risks, but are we being too risk-averse when the alternative is continuing to burn fossil fuels?
