Is marriage still a meaningful commitment today, or just legal strings?
My partner and I have been together for eight years but never married, and we keep getting asked when we'll 'make it official.' I used to think marriage was just a piece of paper, but after watching my sister go through a messy divorce that took two years to settle, I'm not so sure. Is marriage still a meaningful commitment in today's world, or is it just an outdated institution that complicates love with legal strings?
