Does a healthy marriage need separate interests?
My parents have been married 42 years, and they still bicker about who forgot the grocery list, but they'd never dream of a separate hobby. Meanwhile, my best friend and his wife paint alone in different rooms every weekend and claim that's why their marriage thrives. I used to think space was the key, but now I'm not so sure. Does a healthy marriage really need separate interests to keep the spark alive, or is that just a convenient excuse for emotional distance?
