Is synchronous learning really more effective than recorded lectures?
My online teaching data from the last three semesters shows a clear pattern: students in my synchronous Zoom classes score 12% higher on average than those watching recorded lectures. Is real-time interaction that critical, or am I just measuring a correlation with self-discipline?
