Has streaming destroyed our ability to appreciate shows?
My family cut cable in 2016 and we've never looked back, but now I'm seeing a downside: we watch shows in five-episode bursts and barely remember them a month later. Traditional TV forced a weekly rhythm that made me anticipate and actually digest a story, like waiting for each episode of Breaking Bad. Streaming gives us endless choices, but I wonder if the convenience is quietly killing the cultural moments we used to share around water coolers.
