My church small group has become more like a social club than a place for spiritual growth. We spend most of our time chatting about work and weekend plans, and barely touch on scripture or prayer. I get that community matters, but when the Bible reading feels like an afterthought, I wonder if we're missing the point. Is a faith community that prioritizes fellowship over doctrine still serving its purpose?
