Should Parents Force Kids to Continue Activities They Want to Quit?
My 8-year-old just asked if she can quit piano lessons because she 'already knows how to play.' She doesn't. I'm torn between pushing her to stick with it for a few more years and letting her explore other interests like soccer or drawing. Some of my friends say kids need to learn commitment, but others insist forcing a hobby only breeds resentment. Do you think parents should make young kids continue an activity they've lost interest in, or is it better to let them quit and try something new?
