Is limiting screen time to two hours a day realistic for kids?
My 8-year-old daughter came home from school last week saying she wants to be a YouTuber when she grows up, and it got me thinking about how much screen time is really okay for kids at that age. We've tried limiting her to two hours a day, but she gets upset when her friends are online playing games together and she can't join in. I've seen studies suggesting that moderate digital use can help kids develop tech skills and social connections, but I also worry about the effects on attention span and sleep quality. What do other parents here consider a reasonable balance between letting children explore technology and protecting them from its downsides, and has anyone found rules that actually work without causing daily battles?
