Is it okay to let elderly relatives skip smartphones?
My 74-year-old mother refuses to use a smartphone, and I've stopped pushing her after realizing that forcing tech on seniors often does more harm than good. She manages fine with her flip phone and a landline, and her social life hasn't suffered—she meets friends weekly at bingo. But I wonder if we're being too lenient, since she struggles to video-call her grandchildren who live abroad. Do you think it's acceptable to let elderly relatives skip digital adoption, or are we failing them by not insisting?
