Are tablets for kids actually helping them study or just distracting?
My 10-year-old begged for a tablet so she could 'study better,' but after six months, I see her mostly watching cartoons and only opening the math app when I'm nearby. I've started enforcing a strict one-hour limit, yet I wonder if I'm fighting a losing battle. Are we fooling ourselves when we hand kids digital devices and claim they're for learning, when in reality they become a source of constant distraction? I can't ignore the homework 'forgotten' once the screen goes on.
