Should live-streaming platforms show 90-day price histories to stop fake discounts?
Most 'deals' on live-streaming shopping are fake discounts — I tracked a ceramic knife set for a month on a Chinese e-commerce app and the price only dropped 3% from the pre-show sticker, yet the host shouted it was 50% off. Worse, the countdown timer resets every hour, so you're hustled into panic buying for a savings that barely covers shipping. Should platforms be forced to show the item's average price over the past 90 days, just like some airlines do with fares? I doubt the brands would survive the comparison, but consumers deserve a clear look instead of this performance.
