Modern architecture prioritizes visual impact over everyday functionality, and that trade-off has gone too far. I've lived in three 'award-winning' buildings, and every one had terrible acoustic insulation, awkward natural light, and maintenance issues the architects never mention in their portfolios. If a design doesn't serve its inhabitants first, it's just expensive sculpture.
