Minimalist design has become the default for every new app and website, but I think we've taken it too far. A few months ago, I tried to help my mother book a train ticket on a popular travel app, and she couldn't find the payment button because it was just a tiny icon with no label. Clean interfaces are great for seasoned users, but when simplicity strips away affordance and clarity, it stops being user-friendly. Shouldn't design prioritize function over aesthetic trends, especially for the millions who aren't tech-savvy?
