Does staying married 'for better or worse' really benefit anyone?
Marriage is often sold as a lifelong commitment, but I've watched too many couples stay together out of fear rather than love. My own parents divorced when I was twelve, and honestly, it was the healthiest thing they could have done. Research shows that unhappy marriages can actually harm your physical health as much as smoking, but we still treat divorce as a failure.
