Does viral reach matter more than retention in 2024?
Marketing today is so obsessed with viral moments that we forget the actual product. I've seen startups burn millions on influencer campaigns while their onboarding flow makes users cry. The funniest part is that brands chase short-term attention because it's easy to measure, while building durable customer relationships is messy and slow. If you can't explain your value proposition in one sentence, no amount of trend-jacking will save you. But maybe I'm wrong and reach genuinely matters more than retention in 2024?
