Can anyone truly meet the needs of exotic pets?
Keeping exotic animals as pets leads to suffering that owners often underestimate, and wild animals belong in their natural habitats. My cousin bought a sugar glider and realized too late that it needed a specialized diet and nocturnal social structure. Even well-intentioned owners can't replicate the complex needs of a wild creature like adequate space, temperature, and stimulation. When the novelty fades, many end up abandoned or in overcrowded sanctuaries, so is responsible ownership truly possible?
