Keeping exotic animals as pets is more about the owner's ego than the animal's welfare. I know a guy who bought a serval cat because it looked cool on Instagram, and within a year he was struggling to meet its dietary and space needs. These animals often end up in sanctuaries or euthanized when they become unmanageable. Shouldn't we just admit that wild animals belong in the wild, not in our living rooms?
