Is the 30-minute sitcom really dead or just evolving?
Is the traditional 30-minute sitcom really dead, or are networks just refusing to adapt? I grew up on Friends and Seinfeld reruns, and even now I find comfort in that familiar laugh track. But with streaming shows like The Bear and Fleabag winning awards for their half-hour episodes, it seems like the format is evolving rather than dying. Could it be that we're just tired of the predictable setup-punchline structure, not the length itself?
